Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav on Wednesday said Madhya Pradesh aims to contribute nearly $2 trillion to India's target of becoming a $30 trillion economy by 2047, highlighting the state's rapid growth, investor-friendly policies and expanding industrial base. Addressing the "Viksit Madhya Pradesh" conclave in Bhopal, he said the state is aligning its development roadmap with Prime Minister Narendra Modi's vision of Viksit Bharat @2047.

Speaking at the conclave held at a private hotel, Dr. Yadav said India has witnessed a significant transformation under Prime Minister Modi's leadership. He said the country's growing global stature and economic ambitions have created new opportunities for states to contribute to national development. Madhya Pradesh, he added, is committed to playing a major role in achieving these goals through sustained growth and investment.

The Chief Minister said Madhya Pradesh is today counted among the fastest-growing states in the country. He noted that the state is moving forward on the path of both heritage preservation and development. Referring to the martyrdom day of Rani Durgavati, he said the people of the state continue to draw inspiration from her sacrifice and courage.

Highlighting the state's strengths, Dr. Yadav said Madhya Pradesh offers a combination of natural resources, land availability and strategic location. "Whoever comes to Madhya Pradesh becomes a part of it," he remarked while describing the state's welcoming nature. He said the development momentum has continued over the last three years and the government has focused on creating a favourable environment for industries.

According to the Chief Minister, the state government has implemented transparent and industry-friendly policies to attract investment. Madhya Pradesh has a substantial land bank for industrial projects and enjoys a logistical advantage because of its central location in the country. He said the government has also prioritised infrastructure development and road connectivity in all directions to support industrial expansion and ease of movement.

Dr. Yadav said the state has already translated investment proposals worth ₹10 lakh crore into projects on the ground. He recalled that the Global Investors Summit-2025, held in Bhopal under the guidance of Prime Minister Modi, received strong investor participation and resulted in major investment commitments and MoUs.

He said Madhya Pradesh has built an identity not only as an agriculture-driven state but also as an industry-friendly destination. Noting that 2025 was dedicated to industry and employment, he said the government remains focused on generating jobs and encouraging entrepreneurship. He also highlighted the achievements of Indian talent in global industries and science, particularly in the field of space technology.

The Chief Minister said Madhya Pradesh has launched its own Space-Tech Policy and is exploring new sectors to strengthen future growth. He added that the government will continue working to make the state one of the country's leading destinations for investment, innovation and employment generation in the years ahead.
